Warrior Sailing Canada Training Camp - Vancouver September 25 to 27 2024

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2024 Vancouver Warrior Sailing Camp! The camp takes place between September 25-27,and is open to Veterans and military members in Pacific Canada.
Eligibility & Requirements
- The daily agenda is approximately 45 min of classroom work followed by 1.5hrs sailing on the water. Back to land for lunch and then another short classroom followed by 1.5-2hrs sailing practicing what we spoke about in the classroom on the water
- It is suggested that participants be comfortable around the water
- Everyone will be required to wear a life jacket when on board the boats
- Sailing is an outdoor activity, subject to the whims of nature
- Each day can be very different, and you should dress accordingly
- Rain generally doesn’t stop us sailing, so bring wet weather gear
- Also, bring your favorite sunscreen!
- We sail with 3 Participants and a coach on board each sailboat. The coach is there to help instruct, you will be doing the sailing. Each participant rotates through each of the 3 main positions (jobs) on board. You will quickly understand the team dynamics of making a sailboat move through the water in the direction you would like to go
- Generally you will be rooming at the hotel with another participant.
